Who we are

This policy explains how Mahogany Vacation Homes Rental L.L.C ("Mahogany", "we", "us"), a holiday home operator licensed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, collects and uses personal data. We process personal data in line with Federal Decree Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

It applies to property owners, agents and visitors who contact us through mahoganystay.com, through our advertising forms on Instagram and Facebook, by WhatsApp, by phone or by email.

What we collect and how

We collect only what we need to answer your enquiry and, if you choose, to manage your property.

  • Identity and contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
  • Property details: building, unit type, current status, when you would like to start, and anything you tell us about the unit during our conversations.
  • Communications: notes of our calls, and messages exchanged by WhatsApp or email.
  • Advertising data: when you reply through an Instagram or Facebook form, Meta passes us the form answers together with the campaign and ad you responded to.
  • Website data: basic technical and usage data collected through cookies when you visit mahoganystay.com.

We receive this data directly from you, through Meta lead forms, our website, WhatsApp, phone and email, or from a real estate agent you asked to introduce you to us.

Why we use it, and how we contact you

We use your data for these purposes only:

  1. To reply to your enquiry and assess whether short stay management fits your property.
  2. To contact you by phone, WhatsApp or email about your property, as you asked us to.
  3. To prepare a proposal and, if you agree, a management contract, and then to run that contract.
  4. To measure and improve our advertising: we share with Meta, in hashed form where possible, whether an enquiry led to a conversation, a meeting or a contract, so that our ads reach people who are more likely to be property owners.
  5. To meet our legal, tax and licensing obligations in the UAE.

We rely on your consent, given when you submit a form or contact us, on the steps needed before and during a contract with you, on our legitimate business interests, and on our legal obligations.

How we call you. We contact you only after you have asked us to, between 9:00 and 18:00 on working days, from a company number, and we say who we are and why we are calling. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying STOP on WhatsApp, by telling us on the call, or by writing to social@mahoganystay.com.

We never sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as far as each one needs:

  • Meta Platforms, for our Instagram and Facebook advertising and lead forms
  • our customer relationship, automation, spreadsheet and email tools, which store and route enquiries for our team
  • our property management, accounting and payment providers, once you are an owner under contract with us
  • the real estate agent who introduced you, limited to the outcome of the introduction
  • public authorities, when the law requires it

Transfers outside the UAE

Some of our service providers and team members are located outside the United Arab Emirates. When your data is transferred abroad, we take reasonable steps, including contractual commitments, so that it remains protected.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data for as long as needed for the purposes above, and for as long as UAE law requires us to keep records. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Security

Access to your data is limited to the people who need it for their work, through individual accounts. No system is fully secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you access to your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent to be contacted at any time. Write to social@mahoganystay.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.

Cookies

mahoganystay.com uses cookies so the site works properly and so we can understand how it is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then work less well.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page, with its date.
